Tips we want to share whether you use our services or not

  • "To the future" -Doc Brown

Purchase with future integration in mind. If you build it, they will come. Leverage vendors for demos and trails. Deciding on software and hardware early will allow you to plan to take full advantage.

  • Storage

You will ALWAYS need more storage. Storage for manikins, storage for the suitcases the manikins are shipped back to the manufacture for PM. Storage for props, storage for supplies, storage for tech equipment, IV pole storage...you get the idea now

  • Map Out A Typical Day In Sim

Take a step in your student's shoes. Pretend you are walking through you new sim space. How does it flow? How long does it take for students to walk to the nurses station/med dispense/phone from the patient room? Will that add time to the scenario time? Where is the moulage/IV pump storage/supplies in relation to the patient rooms? Are the sim op specialist able to quickly setup/reset/tear down?

  • Avoid AC Vents

Whether you go with SimCapture, LearningSpace or a custom build from us. Remind the vendor/install team to not put the drop down mic next to an AC vent.
